High-Capacity Submersible Pumps for River Water Intake

Six 700mm-dia. MSA Submersible Propeller Pumps Delivered to Improve Water Conditions in Southern Taipei

Taiwan experiences heavy rainfall throughout the year, yet the region still faces flooding during typhoon season and water shortages in the dry season. Improving the water environment has become a critical challenge.

Taipei City operates five water treatment plants, but rising water demand has exceeded the capacity of the existing facilities. This project was launched to expand the city’s water supply system. For the Taipei Water Department, this is the first installation of our high‑capacity propeller pumps. They were selected based on our proven performance in Japan and in countries such as Thailand, China, South Africa, and Australia, where the pumps have operated reliably without issues. The units will be used for river water intake.

Local residents are placing high expectations on the new facilities, hoping they will significantly improve their water supply situation.
